The Rice Family

Concord, NC 28027
The Rice family is putting together a free Dinosaur / Fossil Day community event on Saturday, September 12th, from around 12-3 PM, and are looking for anyone interested in displaying their fossils and talking to the local kids about fossils and paleontology. Full details are not known at this time, but they are hoping to have as much info in advance as they can, so we are going ahead and putting this out there for the membership to think about. Set-up can likely start a little earlier than 12, and tables will be provided as necessary (if volunteering, please let them know very clearly how much table space you need!). Their events are usually well attended by the local community (~200 in 2025, ~3000 in 2024), so it should be a fun opportunity to reach folks in a western community!
