Echinoid-Express
I am Tony, and I’ve had an interest in fossils and paleontology pretty much all my life! I first became interested back as a child talking with my grandfather, but I didn’t actively pursue the hobby until much later. I got back heavily involved with fossils following the 2021/2022 Holden Beach replenishment project, which dredged up a massive amount of Hardouinia mortonis sea urchins, something we saw occasionally there before that time; this species would become my favorite, and the inspiration to become involved with paleontology. My current amateur interests in the field primarily focus on invertebrates, particularly mollusks and echinoderms, though I pursue a widely variable collection that I can display for outreach and education. I am the current Outreach Coordinator for the club (December 2023-Present), and a member of the board of directors (2025-2026)
