Upcoming collecting trips

Could anyone please point me to a list of upcoming collecting trips or how to get notified? I occasionally see email updates from trips after the fact, but I can’t find info on what’s upcoming. The online calendar doesn’t seem to show anything and I don’t see announcements via email.

Collecting trips are not published on the club’s calendar. Opportunities to sign up are sent out via email to current members.

I am a current member, yet haven’t seen any signup opportunities via email. I searched my email for anything fossil related and haven’t seen anything other that the occasional newsletter.

Our records show that you joined the NCFC as a new member in spring of 2025 but have not reviewed your membership for 2026. Membership in the NCFC is by calendar year and must renewed each year. That would explain why you are not receiving the member emails.

Thanks for the discussion! I have been tracking trip announcements manually and also looking for digital tools to stay organized. I recently came across 44 Aces which has been helpful for keeping notes organized between collecting trips. Hope the club calendar gets updated soon for easier trip tracking!

Thanks. I did not realize membership expired at the end of the calendar year irrespective of when I joined. I don’t know if there was supposed to be an end-of-year reminder to that effect, but I checked old emails and couldn’t find one. Anyway, I’ve renewed my membership, so could I please be forwarded any of the upcoming trip emails and schedule if one exists?
